Advantage Rent A Car Named USA Luge Supplier
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - USA Luge announced that it has named Advantage
Rent-A-Car as its official “Domestic Car Rental Supplier” and has
committed to a two-year agreement with the rental car company.
Based out of San Antonio, Texas, Advantage Rent A Car is an
independently owned and operated rental car company with reservation
affiliates throughout the western United States, including Salt Lake
City, Utah, which serves the USA Luge satellite office in nearby Park
City. “Advantage Rent A Car will play an important role in our team’s
domestic travel,” mentioned Gordy Sheer, USA Luge’s marketing director
and 1998 Olympic silver medalist. “While this contract formalizes our
relationship, USA Luge has been a customer of Advantage Rent A Car for
many years and has been very appreciative of their quality services and
competitive pricing. This two-year agreement will help to alleviate the
significant financial burden of renting cars and vans. USA Luge will
proudly use Advantage’s fleet to transport athletes and staff to and
from the luge track.”
Established over 40 years ago, Advantage Rent A Car has approximately
1,300 employees. In April, the company was awarded the state of Texas
rental car contract for 2004-05 along with two other rental car vendors.
This award represents an unprecedented 13th consecutive year of
providing rental car services to the state of Texas Travel Management
Program.
Advantage has continued its expansion of global affiliations by
including rental locations in Germany, the United Arab Emirates and
Canada. Advantage has been aggressively expanding its global affiliate
program and this latest addition brings the total number of countries in
Europe as well as in Mexico, South America and the Caribbean to 21.
