ADVANTAGE RENT A CAR OPENS AT KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (April 25, 2007). Advantage Rent A Car celebrates the most recent expansion of their brand as they open at the new Consolidated Car Rental Facility at the Kansas City International Airport. A soft opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony took place on April 24 with local dignitaries and airport officials on hand for the celebration. The official opening for the facility is scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, 2007.

“While Kansas City is a new market for Advantage, it is a natural feeder market within our existing network of locations throughout the U.S.,” said Bob Dimmick, Executive Vice President Marketing, Advantage Rent A Car. “We anticipate our market share will increase quickly as we continue to expand our footprint in major leisure destinations and in the Midwestern United States.”

The Kansas City International Airport is one of the largest airfields in the United States and in 2006 served 10.6 million passengers. Servicing the passenger from a new consolidated car rental facility will reduce the congestion from the gate to the car rental terminal considerably. With 95 buses circling each terminal per hour, airport officials anticipate the opening of this facility will reduce that number to 30 buses per hour.

The consolidated car rental facility is located on 72 acres with a 135,000 square foot customer service building that will accommodate Advantage Rent A Car and 9 other car rental agencies. The parking garage has an overall capacity for 8,000 cars. Upon arrival in Kansas City, passengers should proceed to the rental car pick up area where they will be shuttled to the new consolidated development. As they enter the facility, renters should take the escalator to the second level customer service area. Advantage’s customer service space is located immediately to the right at the top of the escalator. Advantage offers their customers an all new fleet of DaimlerChrysler, General Motors and foreign cars.
