ADVANTAGE RENT A CAR ANNOUNCES NEW URL IN LARGE-SCALE BRANDING INITIATIVE

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (September 14, 2006). Advantage Rent A Car announces their new Uniform Resource Locator (URL) at http://www.advantage.com. As the company undergoes a large-scale branding initiative introducing the ‘new’ Advantage Rent A Car, the decision to obtain a shorter version domain name of their internationally-known company became part of their overall marketing strategy. Brand reinforcement and ease-of-use for their customers prompted the domain name change.

“Our primary objective in changing our domain name was that it would be easily recognizable and remembered,” said George J. Gremse, Chief Executive Officer. “We have spent tremendous energy developing the Advantage brand and this URL represents that effort. This network address is the conduit to our electronic reservation and information infrastructure and we are excited to announce the easy-to-remember name to our customers.”

Advantage is planning to launch their newly redesigned website in the near future after tasking ‘10TH DEGREE’, their advertising agency of record, to perform a comprehensive revamp incorporating the ‘new’ Advantage creative and to improve the usability and functionality of the site.
