Advantage Rent A Car
EXPANDS MEXICO FRANCHISE OPERATION
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (January, 2005). Advantage Rent A Car expands in
Mexico with airport locations in Durango, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mazatlan and
Veracruz. This addition brings to total 12 destinations throughout
Mexico.
“Our rentals in Mexico during 2004 increased 60% over the previous
year,” said Rolando Trevino, President of Advantage Rent A Car of
Mexico. “We attribute this significant growth to the most competitive
rates in Mexico, a superior fleet, exemplary customer service and a
strong partnership with Advantage Rent A Car, US.”
In December, 2004, Advantage Rent A Car Mexico held their annual
Franchise Conference in Monterrey. Representing Advantage Rent A Car US,
were Monte Ramey, director of sales and marketing and Diane Hauke,
director of international relations. Initiatives proven successful in
the US were introduced at the conference. Those programs focused on
customer service, customer loyalty programs and sales training.
Advantage’s Starlink, a program designed to allow the user online
account management from billing to rental activity to reservation
modifications; and their newest customer loyalty partner, Continental
Airlines frequent flyer program, OnePass was met with a positive
response by the franchisee operators. “I am one of the newest
franchisees to Advantage Rent A Car Mexico. I have a lot of experience
with other car rental systems and none of them come close to Advantage’s
Starlink for functionality and use,” said Efrain Lizarraga, General
Manager, Advantage Rent A Car, Mazatlan.
As Advantage continues to further its presence in Mexico, future growth
plans will include Queretaro, Oaxaco and Guadalajara.
